Testimonials

I've known Dr. Vernon Jenkins for over 17 years, and I can say that he truly lives up to his title of DOCTOR because, to be a doctor is to be a teacher, and Dr. Jenkins is a born teacher. His knowledge of the healing arts - be it nutrition, acupuncture, chiropractic, exercise and physical training - cause him to be labeled a 'standout', but couple that with the fact that he practices what he preaches, walking a path of health, puts Dr. Jenkins in a lofty category few ever reach.

I've had the opportunity to personally observe Dr. Jenkins demonstrate his breadth of knowledge of the outdoors numerous times over the years on various outdoor adventures. From the mountains to the oceans, Dr. Jenkins behaved as though he was at home.

His knowledge of nature alone makes him an excellent guide, but coupled with his healing and teaching skills eminently quality him as a must see, must spend time with, must learn from 'attraction'. Simply put, to spend time with Dr. Jenkins on his Hike to Health retreats is to improve your health, your spirit, and your life.

I have been on numerous camping and hiking adventures with Dr. Jenkins since about 1990. Some outings involved just hiking, while others were specific to herb hunting and natural wild foods. He is very enthusiastic and committed.

Dr. Jenkins is a unique chiropractic physician, as he is accomplished in several disciplines including nutrition, specific adjusting, acupuncture, and meditation. I would highly recommend Dr. Jenkins for any of the above procedures, as well as an outing and nature adventure guide with Hike to Health.

I have been using Alternative Health Care since 1973. Beginning in 1998, I saw Dr. Jenkins, who performed chiropractic adjustments, massage, and acupuncture on me. He also provided nutritional advice, mind/body personal development informational tapes and workbooks, and prescribed herbal and nutritional supplements.

All of these procedures, services and goods helped a lot in relieving various health challenges and providing me natural health and wellness. You are missing the boat if you pass up the opportunity to experience Dr. Jenkins' Hike to Health spa and health retreat.

Because of my high-stress job as office manager, my spirit and soul yearned for a break. Hike to Health was the perfect solution. Immediately upon arrival, the staff began to pamper me, and the stress began to melt away.

Coming from a big metropolitan area like Tampa and going into the wilds of Yellowstone National Park was no problem at all. I felt safe and secure on the hiking trails and soaking in the hot springs. The food and lodging exceeded my expectations. My stress level dropped to zero and my spirit soared.

The sightseeing and wildlife viewing were spectacular. I've even put some of the photos on my computer screen so I can view them and put my mind in a state of serenity. Dr. Jenkins and his staff were very considerate of my needs and physical limitations. I felt totally rejuvenated in mind, body, and spirit.

Co-workers and friends are truly amazed in the difference this vacation made on my life. They are considering a Hike to Health vacation for themselves.

I'm looking forward to seeing you again next year, and I will be bringing other family members to participate in this one-of-a-kind health retreat experience.

~ Tamara Bennett, Office Manager, Tampa, Florida
